4 Thoughtful Ways to Celebrate Dad This Father’s Day

With Father’s Day fast approaching, you’re not alone if you’re feeling a bit stumped trying to decide on exciting activities for the day. After all, choosing how best to celebrate the beloved fathers in our lives can be a tall order – but with a bit of creative planning, you can certainly arrange a day of fun for the whole family. Between boating, best brunch spots, and backyard sports, read on for a few of our ideas for making Father’s Day into an event that dads everywhere are sure to appreciate!

  1. Plan a Creative Outing

There’s no shortage of spots around Florida to visit for a dad-approved outing. If you’re close to the coast – or feel like making the excursion for the weekend – you can pay a visit to the oceanfront with a beach day, or treat dad to a fishing or boating trip. But if that’s not your father’s cup of tea, think a bit harder about his favorite hobbies. Take an interest in what he would love to do – as sharing an activity for the day can be the best way to bring a smile to his face and even give you the opportunity to learn something new! You might enjoy experimenting with woodworking, taking a hike, learning an instrument, or arranging a backyard sports match with the family.

  1. Treat Him Like a King

If you’ve noticed your dad spending a lot of time looking after the house and the family, it’s time to give back! Treat him like royalty for the day – let him hit snooze and take care of some of those around-the-house chores that he intended to tackle later. For a dad who’s always cooking, treat him to a snack or meal in bed while he catches up on some favorite TV shows. Or, later in the evening, plan a family movie night and let him pick the film!

  1. Get a Little Sentimental

Father’s Day is the perfect time to let your dad know just how much you mean to him. So – give him something special to let him know! Instead of opting to rely on pre-printed messages in greeting cards, write him a heartfelt note that he can hang onto as a special keepsake. You might mention some things you appreciate about him, recount favorite memories you’ve made together, or share an important lesson you’ve learned from him. If you can’t spend time in person with your father or another important male family figure on Father’s Day, give them a phone call! Family members always love being remembered and getting a chance to catch up on their special day – so a conversation may just be the perfect present.

  1. Treat Him to a Tasty Brunch

You know what they say – the best way to the heart is through the stomach! Treat dad to an amazing meal – and Sunday is the perfect time for a tasty morning brunch in Gainesville, Orlando, Mount Dora, or beyond! Visit your local Peach Valley to surprise your dad with all his favorite foods – from hot coffee, to tasty eggs benedict (served up four unique ways), to stacks of sweet buttermilk pancakes, and much, much more. When you’re ready to satisfy your stomach for a special celebration at one of Florida’s top brunch spots, we’ll be excited to serve you at any of our 7 convenient locations!
