Food Trends: A Look Ahead

The turn into a new year is always a great time to look ahead and wonder: what’s going to be popular in the year ahead? In the ever-changing world of food, there’s always something new on the horizon—and in today’s blog, we’re taking a look at a few such trends!

Rethinking protein

With every year, people grow more and more interested in getting to know their food. A big part of this entails knowing where and how to get key nutrients, such as protein, from sources both traditional and unexpected. Most know that meats such as chicken, turkey and steak are high in protein, for example—but we expect to see many people turning to new sources of protein such as artichokes, spinach, mushrooms, kale and more (whether it be due to their vegetarian diets or simply a desire to switch things up).
