Ormond Beach History is Within Reach
One of the best things about visiting our Ormond East location? Along with your meal, you’ll find yourself incredibly close to plenty of local history. For example, did you know that Ormond Beach has deep ties to the history of racing? In the early 1900s, automobile enthusiasts came to Ormond to compete in speed tournaments on the hard-packed sand – and the Ormond Garage was built to accommodate those vehicles and their mechanics. While this landmark was lost to a fire in the 1970s, you can visit a smaller replica of the original garage at the Birthplace of Speed Park, only a short walk away from our location.
Following Granada Blvd in the opposite direction, you’ll soon reach the Casements. This historic mansion once housed John D. Rockefeller, the famous oil magnate. Here, you can tour the home and grounds to learn more about local history – but, at certain times of the year, the Casements hosts plenty of other exciting festivals and events to look forward to!

If you’re a bit apprehensive about getting sand in your shoes, you could also pay a visit to the nearby Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens. While this gallery is currently closed for renovations, their gardens are a well-known local gem that remain open and accessible – and it’s perfect for a beautiful post-meal walk!
